Elizabeth (Betsey) was born about 1767 in VA. Elizabeth (Betsey)'s father was Michael (Sr) Pruett and her mother was Elizabeth Simpkins. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Prewitt and Agnes. She had seven brothers and a sister, named James4, Elisha, Byrd, Michael (Jr), Robert, Joseph, Joshua and Judith. She was the youngest of the nine children.-
