Byrd Pruett 
Byrd was born about 1752 in Bedford Co,VA. Byrd's father was Michael (Sr) Pruett and his mother was Elizabeth Simpkins. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Prewitt and Agnes. He had six brothers and two sisters, named James4, Elisha, Michael (Jr), Robert, Joseph, Joshua, Judith and Elizabeth (Betsey). He was the third oldest of the nine children.-
