Sarah Sally was born on January 1st, 1824. Sarah Sally's father was James Weathers Pierson and her mother was Lanthy Shockley. Her paternal grandparents were Shadrach Pierson and Rachel Clinch. She had three brothers and two sisters, named William F., Barton Stone, Samuel S., Lanthy S. and Rachel. She was the youngest of the six children. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named David Morgan, James Madison, Henry Clay, Lanthy Jane, Rebecca Jane, Sarah Lucretia and Cynthia Ann.-
