Samuel S. Pierson 
Samuel S. was born on June 2nd, 1821. Samuel S.'s father was James Weathers Pierson and his mother was Lanthy Shockley. His paternal grandparents were Shadrach Pierson and Rachel Clinch. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William F., Barton Stone, Lanthy S., Rachel and Sarah Sally. He was the second youngest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named David Morgan, James Madison, Henry Clay, Lanthy Jane, Rebecca Jane, Sarah Lucretia and Cynthia Ann.-
