Sarah H. was born in 1850 in Clay Twp,Hendricks Co.,Indiana. Sarah H.'s father was Wesly B. Pierson and her mother was Martha Gallaway. Her paternal grandparents were William Pierson and Nancy Fitzsimmons. She had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Benjamin, John M., Thomas H., Mary E. and Lucinda. She was the youngest of the seven children.-
