Richard was born in 1649 in of Rhiwsaeson,Llanbryn-Mair,Montgomeryshire,Wales and his baptism took place in (42-1691). Richard's father was Richard Owen and his mother was Martha Oakley. His paternal grandparents were Athelstan Owen and Elizabeth Herbert. He had a brother named Athelstan. He died at the age of 42 on March 25th, 1691.
