Sarah was born on November 18th, 1742 in of,Springfield,Hampden,Massachusetts. Sarah's father was Benjamin Morgan and her mother was Mary Horton. Her paternal grandparents were David Morgan and Mary Clark. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Ebenezer, Samuel, Catherine and Chloe.
