Frances was born about 1639 in of,Machen,Monmouthshire,England. Frances' father was Thomas Morgan Esquire and her mother was Elizabeth Windham. Her paternal grandparents were William Morgan Sir Knight and Elsbeth Winter. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named William, John I, John II, Thomas, Edward, Lewis, Trevor, Catherine, Anne, Rachel, Blanche, Elizabeth II and Mary.
