Auberon Edward William was born on June 18th, 1838 in of,Highclere,Hampshire,England. Auberon Edward William's father was Henry John George Herbert *E Caernar and his mother was Henrietta Anne Howard. His paternal grandparents were Henry George Herbert *E Caernar and Elizabeth Kitty Dyke Acland. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry Howard Molyneux, Alan Percy Harty, Eveline Alicia Juliana and Gwendolen Ondine. He was the second youngest of the five children.
