Thomas Hampton 
Thomas was born on October 17th, 1728 in Fairfax Co,Virginia. Thomas' father was John Hampton Jr and his mother was Margaret Wade. His paternal grandparents were Capt John Hampton and Mary Mann; his maternal grandfather was James Wade. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named John Wade, Richard, William, Henry, James, John, Anthony, Mary, Elizabeth, Margaret and Rosamond. He died at the age of 68 on December 17th, 1796 in Cascade Creek,Pittsylvania Co,Virgnia. He was buried in 1796 in Hampton Family Cemetery,Pittsylvania,Co,Virginia.General Notes
Thomas Hampton was Sergeant in 2nd Virginia Regiment, Enlisted March 25 1777 for a term of three years under Robert Norfolk, Recruiting Officer. Having duly served his time for which he was enlisted, he was discharged from the service, April 10, 1780, James Quarles, Major signed his discharge papers. The Virginia Court of Claims, after ther Revolutions, paid him ten shillings per day for 19 days for the use of his team wagon and negro driver.
