John Gentry

John was born in 1841. John's father was Samuel Gentry and his mother was Abigail Powers. His paternal grandparents were Matthew Gentry and Elizabeth Cook; his maternal grandparents were Isaac H. Powers and Abigail Davis. He had four brothers and four sisters, named George, James, William, Samuel, Hannah, Emeline, Maria and Nancy. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
