John R. Finley 
John R. was born on January 3rd, 1838 in Rosedale,Madison,Ohio. John R.'s father was John Horner Finley and his mother was Martha Ann Ruff. His paternal grandparents were William Finley and Margaret Horner. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William A., Samuel W., David Wallace, Horace Taylor, Winfield Scott, Amanda M., Matilda V. and Martha M.. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 25 on August 20th, 1863.-
