Griswold BECKWITH 
Griswold was born in 1691 in Lyme,New London,Ct. Griswold's father was Matthew (Mathew) BECKWITH and his mother was Mrs. Elizabeth BECKWITH. His paternal grandparents were Matthew (Mathew) BECKWITH and Elizabeth (Mary) LYNDE; his maternal grandparents were Peter TALLMAN and Anne HILL. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Matthew, John, James, Jonah, John, Prudence, Sarah, Elizabeth, Ruth and Sarah. He was the second youngest of the eleven children.
