Joseph Poirier 
Joseph was born in 1738 in Beaubassin, Cumberland, Nova Scotia.1 Joseph's father was Joseph Poirier and his mother was Madeleine Doiron. His paternal grandparents were Jean Baptiste Poirier and Marie Cormier; his maternal grandparents were Charles Doiron and Francois Gaudet. He had two brothers and a sister, named Pierre, Jean Baptiste and Marie Madeleine. He was the youngest of the four children.-
