Jean Baptiste Poirier

Jean Baptiste was born in 1683 in Beaubassin, Cumberland, Nova Scotia.¹   Jean Baptiste's father was Michel Poirier and his mother was Marie Boudret.  His paternal grandparents were Jehan Poirier and Jeanne Chabrat; his maternal grandparents were Michel Boudrot and Michelle Aucoin. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Pierre, Charles, Claude, Francois, Jacques, Michel, Joseph, Louis, Anne and Jeanne.

‌Jean Baptiste and Marie were married in a religious ceremony in 1708.¹   They had three sons and three daughters, named Joseph, Pierre, Jean Baptiste, Marguerite, Marie Angelique and Anne.
