Alberic De was born about 1066 in Grentemesnil, Calvados, France.  Alberic De's father was Hugh De Grentmesnil Lord of Hinckle and his mother was Adeliza Or Alice De Beaumont. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Robert De, William De, Hugh De, Ivo (Ives) De, Adeline De, Halewise De, Rohese De, Matilda (Maud) De, Agnes De and Hawise De.  He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Robert II De and Alice.  He died in 1119.
