Leya was born on June 19th, 1731 in Terrytown,Westchester County, New York and her baptism took place in June 1731 in Dutch Church, Philipsburgh, New York. Leya's father was Siber Acker and her mother was Aeltie de Ronda. Her paternal grandparents were Wolfert Acker and Mary Cronkheit Sybout. She was an only child.
