Jeremiah was born on January 4th, 1850 in Shelby,IN. Jeremiah's father was James S. Young and his mother was Sarah Mortimer. His paternal grandparents were James Young and Mary Guyn; his maternal grandparents were Famous MORTIMER and Fanny FITZGERALD. He had four brothers and a sister, named James C., John, Robert B, Jackson and Nancy. He was the youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Martha Emily. He died at the age of 15 on October 15th, 1865 in Shelbyville,Shelby,IN. He was buried in City Cemetery,Shelbyville,IN.-
