Catherine was born on July 23rd, 1836 in ,,MO.1 Catherine's father was John Ryman Young and her mother was Lucinda Burch. Her paternal grandparents were James Rankin Young and Elizabeth Ryman. She had five brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named James W., John Thomas, Henry Clay, Albert Davis, Barton Stone, Mary Eliza, Lucy Love, Jessamine and ?. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 89 in 1925 in Walla Walla,,WA.General Notes
