His paternal grandparents were David SLEETH and Jane Young; his maternal grandparents were Peter MYER and Susannah BARDELL. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Orlando Milton (Land), Alfred Clinton, William W., Susan Jane (Aunt Sue), Clarissa Kate, Anna Eliza, Cynthia and Harriet May. He was the third oldest of the ten children.-
