Joseph Anderson was born on May 5th, 1860 in Dent Co,Missouri. Joseph Anderson's father was Francis Marion Shults and his mother was Levina Wampler. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Shults and Mary Polly Young. He had a brother and a sister, named Sona W (Lonnie R) and Martha Roseann. He was the oldest of the three children.
