Andrew was born on September 23rd, 1801 in ,Highland,VA. Andrew's father was Robert Lockridge and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Gwin. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Lockridge and Jean Graham; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Gwin and Mary Jane Kinkead. He had four brothers and two sisters, named David Gwin, John, Robert, William Henry, Mary Ann and Mary Graham. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 70 on April 19th, 1872 in ,Bath,VA.-
