Hiram DeGarmo 
Hiram was born about 1830 in Westmoreland Co,Pennsylvania. Hiram's father was Jacob DeGarmo and his mother was Hannah Ames. His maternal grandparents were Jabez Ames and Elizabeth Smith. He had seven brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named William, John, Absalom, Martin Smith, Jacob Johnston, Jabez Gifford, Jerome, Elizabeth, Mary Florence, Sarah Ann, Hannah, Mariah Arabella and UNKNOWN. BIOGRAPHY: In Twenty-second Pennsylvania Cavalry Regiment history is a Hiram Degarmo, dishonorably discharged July 19, 1865; (absent at MO [muster out]). Co D, Ringgold Battn Pa Cav, and Co E, Pa Cav; rank at induction: sergeant; rank at discharge: sergeant.
