Melvin Forrest was born on April 14th, 1899 in ,,OK. Melvin Forrest's father was Alexander Crider COTTON and his mother was Julia Adaline Morris. His maternal grandparents were William Godfrey Morris and Phoebe Johnson. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Asa Bryan, Milo Walter, Floyd M, Elsie Maude and Margaret Flossie. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died at 4 months old in August 1899.-
