John Burks 
John was born in 1801. John's father was Edmund Burks and his mother was Elizabeth Everly. His paternal grandparents were John Burks and UNKNOWN Mary. He had six brothers and a sister, named William, James, David, Joel, Henry, Edmund and Catherine. He died at the age of 84 in 1885 in ,Monroe,In. He was buried in Richland Cemetery.
They had three sons and six daughters, named William, John, Alfred, Rhoda, Mary A, Minerva, Elizabeth, Lucinda and Margaret.
