She had a brother and two sisters, named Henri, Duke of, Alberade de and Wiltrude, Duchess of. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had eight half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Lothair Carolingien, King of, Carloman Prince of, Louis Prince of, Henri Prince of, Charles I le Gros, Duke of, Conan I Duke Of, Martin, Seigneur of Vitre, Meen Seigneur of Fougeres, Mathilde Princess Of, Hildegard Princess of, Alberade Princess Of and Hildegardin, Princess of France, Countess of. Gerberga wife Albert of Vermandois and Gerberga wife of Megingoz of Avalgau may not be the same person. Paul McBride states that the Gerberga, wife of Megingoz Count in Avalgau, is the daughter of "Godfrey Duke of Lorraine, Count Palatine".
