Robert I Brus Earl of Annandale 
Robert I was born in 1078 in Skelton Castle,Yorkshire,England.1 Robert I's father was Adam de Brus and his mother was Emma de Ramsay. His paternal grandparents were Robert de BRUSSE and Emma de Bretagne; his maternal grandfather was William Ramsey. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William de, Duncan de, Agatha and Rosselina de. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 63 in 1141 in Skelton Castle,Yorkshire,England. He was buried in Priory,Gisborough,Yorkshire,England.1 1 -
