Owain ap Hywel Dda, king of Deheubarth, where he ruled for nearly 40 years,
paid tribute of 300 wolves' heads to Edgar, King of England, 962; tried to
recover the throne of Gwynedd, and died 988, having had a son, Einion ap Owain.
