Ralph Alaric was born on November 3rd, 1910 in Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., Indiana. Ralph Alaric's father was George Washington Shields and his mother was Ruth Todd. His paternal grandparents were James Madison Shields and Martha J. Sciscoe. He had a brother and a sister, named Herbert and Inez. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 62 on May 2nd, 1973 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., Indiana. He was buried in Mt. Vernon, Posey Co., Indiana.-
