John Rains

John was born on January 3rd, 1924 in Benton, Iowa. John's father was James C. Rains and his mother was Julia Elizabeth Zike. His paternal grandfather was Asa Rains; his maternal grandparents were William Zike and Harriet May Poor. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Leo, Vera and Ulzada. He was the youngest of the five children.
