Beulah May Owings 
Beulah May was born on May 23rd, 1921 in Monroe Co., Indiana. Beulah May's father was Oscar Luther Owings and her mother was Darvell Charolette Eads. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Owings and Amanda Grubb; her maternal grandparents were Wylie Wilson Eads and Sarah Deckard. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Birtal 'Burt', Boyd, Bernice, Kay and Living. She died at the age of 43 on March 11th, 1965 in Monroe Co., Indiana. Mrs. Beulah Owings Shields, 43, Monrovia, died at her home Thursday.
She was born May 23, 1921, in Monroe County, the daughter of Oscar
Owings and Darvell Eads Owings. She married James E. Shields on June 10,
1939.
She was a member of the Monrovia Methodist Church and the Eastern
Star Lodge 580. She lived in Monrovia for the last 12 years.
She leaves her husband, James Shields; two sons, Terry M. and Mark
E., both of Monrovia; her mother, Mrs. Darvell Owings of Bloomington; her
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wylie Eads of Bloomington; two brothers, Boyd
Owings of Bloomington and Burt Owings of Indianapolis; two sisters Miss
Bernice Owings of Bloomington and Mrs. Sarah Garner of Indianapolis.
Funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Harvey Funeral Home in
Mooresville, Rev. Russell Kremmer of the Monrovia Methodist Church
officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Creek Cemetery, south of
Bloomington. Members of the Eastern Star Lodge will have services
Saturday at 8 p.m.
Friends may call at the Harvey Funeral Home on Saturday from 7 to 10
p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 10 p.m.
