Bernice Owings 
Bernice was born on May 21st, 1926 in Monroe Co., Indiana. Bernice's father was Oscar Luther Owings and her mother was Darvell Charolette Eads. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Owings and Amanda Grubb; her maternal grandparents were Wylie Wilson Eads and Sarah Deckard. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Birtal 'Burt', Boyd, Beulah May, Kay and Living. She died at the age of 57 in 1983 in Bloomington Hospital, Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana. She was buried in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes
Services for Bernice Owings, 57, 1005 N. Oolitic Drive, who died
Wednesday evening at Bloomington Hospital, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at
Greene and Harrell Mortuary, with the Revs. Arthur Miller and Kiah Rayl
officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Born May 21, 1926, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Oscar
and Darvel (Eads) Owings. She was employed by RCA and had been a motor
route driver for the Herald - Telephone since 1968.
Survivors include two brothers, Boyd of Bloomington and Burtal of
Indianapolis and two sisters, Sarah Owings of Indianapolis and Kay Kerr
of Bloomington.
Friends may call at the mortuary 2 - 9 p.m. today.
Bernice never had children and she and her husband were divorced.
