Bretta Gladys was born on March 21st, 1900. Bretta Gladys' father was James Ranson McGlothlin and her mother was Jeanette 'Nettie' Owens. Her paternal grandparents were John G. McGlothlin and Lucindia Zike; her maternal grandparents were Lilburn Owens and Mary 'Pop' Duncan. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert, James Ranson, Jr, Bertha Rachel, Alma and Celestia Lorena. She was the second oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 84 in July 1984 in Bloomington, Monroe, Indiana. She was buried in Clear Creek Twp, Monroe, Indiana.-
