Zola Hawkins 
Zola was born on July 21st, 1909 in Chapel Hill, Monroe Co., Indiana. Zola's father was Henry Branch Hawkins and her mother was Anna Lova Deckard. Her paternal grandparents were Nelson Hawkins and Julia Stewart; her maternal grandparents were Napoleon Budd Deckard and Elizabeth Mize. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Clyde, Perry Harold, Carl, Lola, Chloe and Nellie. She died at the age of 78 on November 2nd, 1987 in Heltonville, Monroe County, Indiana. She was buried in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes

Heltonville - Zola Hawkins Deckard, 78, of Heltonville, died early this
morning at her residence.
Born July 20, 1909, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Henry
Bratch and Lova Deckard. She was a member of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include one brother, Clyde Hawkins of Heltonville; and
three sisters, Chloe Smith and Lola Hawkins, both of Heltonville, and
Nellie Ford of Akron, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Deckard, who died in
1968; one son; and one brother.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home at
Heltonville. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call 4 - 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 - 9 p.m. Wednesday at the
funeral home.
