Her paternal grandparents were John William Glascoe and Catherine Katy Deckard; her maternal grandparents were Dorson Clark and Clara Combs. She had a brother and two sisters, named Clovis Lester, Ruby Eleanor and Helen Laverne. She was the second oldest of the four children.General Notes
