Her paternal grandparents were John Matthew Floyd and Anis Smith; her maternal grandparents were James Madison Shields and Mary Jane Heltonburg. She had three brothers named John Madison, ? and Damon Clifford. She was the youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 83 on May 8th, 1990 in Bloomington ,Monroe Co., Indiana. She was buried in Clear Creek Cemetery, Clear Creek, Monroe Co., Indiana.-
