Mary Alice Dowling 
Mary Alice was born on December 5th, 1891 in Lawrence County, Indiana. Mary Alice's father was Jesse Dowling and her mother was Nancy Malinda Zike. Her paternal grandparents were James Dowling and Ann Reynolds; her maternal grandparents were Andrew J. Zike and Martha L. Moore. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Odis, William Franklin, John Arthur, Martha Ann, Ethel Nola, Ruby M. and Stella Esther. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 29 on February 21st, 1921. She was buried in Ikerd Cemetery, East of Bedford, Lawrence, Indiana.-
