Ethel Nola Dowling 
Ethel Nola was born on June 21st, 1894 in Lawrence County, Indiana. Ethel Nola's father was Jesse Dowling and her mother was Nancy Malinda Zike. Her paternal grandparents were James Dowling and Ann Reynolds; her maternal grandparents were Andrew J. Zike and Martha L. Moore. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Odis, William Franklin, John Arthur, Martha Ann, Mary Alice, Ruby M. and Stella Esther. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 18 on November 14th, 1912. She was buried in Ikerd Cemetery, East of Bedford, Lawrence, Indiana.-
