Lorene Deckard 
Lorene was born on February 15th, 1922 in Chapel Hill, Monroe Co., Indiana. Lorene's father was Clarence Jackie Deckard and her mother was Cordelia Mitchell. Her paternal grandparents were George Washington Deckard and Martha Mize. She had a brother and a sister, named Dale and Oma. She had two half-sisters named Wanda and Bulah Faye. She died at the age of 69 on May 21st, 1991 in Hospitality House, Bedford, Lawrence Co., Indiana. She was buried on May 24th, 1991 in Gilgal Cemetery, Lawrence Co., Indiana.General Notes
BEDFORD - May 21, 1991
Lorena Lewis, 69, of Bedford, died Tuesday at Bedford Hospitality
House.
Born Feb. 15, 1922, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of
Clarence and Cordelia (Mitchell) Deckard. She had worked at RCA and
Sarkes Tarzian in Bloomington. She was a member of Country Church in
Harrodsburg.
Survivors include her husband, Willard A. Lewis; one stepdaughter,
Cathy Jo Petyon of Bedford; one brother, Dale Deckard of Bedford; one
sister, Oma Bartlett of Bedford; two half brothers, Burl Blackwell and
Bertle Blackwell, both of Bedford; three half sisters, Bertha Bartlett of
Bedford, Wanda Deckard and Faye Deckard, both of Bloomington; and several
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vasel Stewart, and
one half brother, Earl Blackwell.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Ferguson - Lee Funeral Home with
Brother Tim English officiating. Burial will be at Gilgal Cemetery in
Heltonville.
