Nellie Louise was born on February 11th, 1925 in Kalamazoo,Michigan.1 Nellie Louise's father was Elliott Leroy (Roy) Foster and her mother was Bertha Irene Jackson. Her paternal grandparents were William Sherman (Bill) Foster and Margaret Eliza (Maggie) Edmisten; her maternal grandparents were William Marion Jackson and Lillie Catharine (Lillie C, Lily) Brockwell. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Sherman Earl, Richard Leroy, Katheryn Elizabeth, Miriam Irene and Shirley Ann. She was the third oldest of the six children.General Notes
