James Calvin, known as Joseph, was born after June 1829 in Roslin,Polk,Tennessee,USA.1   Joseph's father was Richard Jackson Sr and his mother was Sarah UNKNOWN. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Andrew Marion, David, William Henderson, John C, Richard, Nancy Paralee, Elizabeth and Caroline.  He was the third oldest of the nine children.  He died on October 1st, 1899 in La Junta,Otero,Colorado,Usa.  He was buried on October 2nd, 1899 in La Junta,Otero,Colorado,USA.

‌Joseph and Mary Polly were married in a religious ceremony on May 12th, 1852 in Golconda,Pope Co.,IL.  They had five sons and three daughters, named John E, William Marion, Albert, James Richard, George, Caroline, Rachael Angeline and Mary Almeda.
