His paternal grandparents were James BARKER and Mary SMITH; his maternal grandfather was Joseph GARNER. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Isaac, William Allen, Anderson, Susan, Dicy and Nancy. He died at the age of 65 on April 7th, 1858 in ,Logan,Virginia.-
