Sallie Belle was born on January 12th, 1899 in Tupelo, Lee, Mississippi.1   Sallie Belle's father was Nathan Berry Porter and her mother was Lula Mary Sibley.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas O. Porter and Nancy Green; her maternal grandparents were George Washington Sibley and Sarah Ann Perry. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William Curtis, Reed Byron, Jackson Miller, Aurelia, Roxie, Lillian and Anita.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died  due to Industrial Accident at the age of 80 on July 15th, 1979 in Sherman, Lee, Mississippi.  She was buried in Pontotoc Cemetery, Pontotoc, Pontotoc, Mississippi.1
