Melinda Markin

Melinda was born on April 21st, 1829 in Greenup county, Kentucky.¹   Melinda's father was Charles W II Markin and her mother was Eunice Gilkerson.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard; her maternal grandfather was John Gilkerson. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Cornelius, Franklin, James F, Lucinda, Eliza, Daniel D and Mary Jane. She had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Charles, Benjamin R, Thomas B, Thomas, Catherine, Laura Ann and Susan.

‌Melinda and Simon were married in a religious ceremony in 1843.¹ 

‌Melinda and Isaac W were married in a religious ceremony on September 12th, 1850 in Shelby County, Indiana.¹   They had two daughters named Sarah Anna and Infant.
