Rufus K. B. was born on May 29th, 1851.1 Rufus K. B.'s father was Thomas David Jefferson Lusk and his mother was Nancy Pennington. His paternal grandparents were John Lusk and Rachel Tenason. He had six brothers and three sisters, named John D., William H., Pleasant James, Thomas Newton, Robert M., Jacob Addie, Elizabeth, Martha and Mary. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.-
