Odie Artemus Floyd 
Odie Artemus was born on July 5th, 1892 in Whiteright, Texas.1 Odie Artemus' father was James Harrison Floyd and his mother was Ella America Lunsford. His paternal grandparents were William H. Floyd and Mary Elizabeth Tyson; his maternal grandparents were A. Lunsford and Betty Taylor. He had a brother and four sisters, named Charlie James B (Bo), Lillian B, Mattie Maude, Living and Tempie. He died at the age of 57 on January 9th, 1950 in Dallas, Texas.1 General Notes

Odie was ashamed of his name, especially Artemus and liked to be known as O A Floyd. It is assumed that is the reason R A only had initials for a name.
