Roger la was born about 1242 in Of, Ashby, Leicestershire, England.1 Roger la's father was Alan II La ZOUCHE and his mother was Helen (Ellen) de QUINCY. His paternal grandparents were Roger la ZOUCHE and Margaret le (Zouche); his maternal grandparents were Roger de QUINCY and Helen (Elena) MacDonald. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Eudes la, William La, Alan La, Oliver La, Henry La, Helene La, Margery (Mary) La and Alice La. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died before October 15th, 1285 in ,Ashby, Leicestershire, England.1 General Notes
