Joan Plantagenet 
Joan was born in October 1165 in Angers Castle, Anjou.1 Joan's father was Henry II de Anjou Plantagenet and her mother was Eleanor de Aquitaine. Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey V PLANTAGENET and Matilda Adelaide; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume X le Toulousan and Eleanor (Aenor) de Chastellerault. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Richard I de Lion, Geoffrey, Philip, John, Henry, Matilda Maud and Eleanor. She had a half-sister named Alisa de France. She died at the age of 33 on September 4th, 1199. She was buried in Fontevrault Abbey, France.1 1 General Notes
