James Alexander Maples 
James Alexander was born on March 15th, 1860.1 James Alexander's father was James Gunter Maples and his mother was Ann Catherine Tate. His paternal grandparents were Jesse Maples and Jemimah; his maternal grandparents were Jessie Thomas Tate and Isabell Sapp. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Jessie Thomas, Joseph Seaman, William Burl, Benjamin Crittenden, Henry Clay, Mary Catherine, Martha Isabel, Charlotte B. and Telitha G.. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Russell Reno and Sarah Jane. He died at the age of 47 on March 29th, 1907 in New Mexico.1 -
