William Cocanougher 
William was born on February 7th, 1826 in Washington Co, KY.1 William's father was George Cocanougher and his mother was Martha Hilton. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Cocanougher and Nancy Neely Silvertooth; his maternal grandparents were John Hilton and Margaret Ferrill. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Jacob, George W., John, Andrew J., Francis Marian, Francis M., Henry H., Adam, Melvina, Melinda and Letisha B.. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 76 on June 9th, 1902 in Washington Co, KY.1 -
